Thanks to the second sensor needed for the Oculus Touch motion controllers, the Rift now supports room-scale VR similar to the Vive, which means that you can move freely within a larger space (up to 10×10 feet). These controllers work perfectly with the Rift and they’re registered as an HTC Vive controller when you set them up through Steam. With the release of Oculus Touch, you can now play any SteamVR game that supports controller input using the Rift headset. If you set the Oculus Rift to allow apps from unknown sources, you can use it with SteamVR just like the HTC Vive does.
