Mary Lou enjoyed sewing, crafts, and spending time in Northern Wisconsin. She served on many church committees and was involved in multiple church events over the years. She was very active in her daughter’s school activities, which included Girl Scouts and the PTA. Mary Lou was a devout Christian and shared her beliefs with many over the years. What brought her the most joy was raising her children and spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. When her children were older, she managed Modern Maternity in downtown Green Bay for a number of years. Mary Lou worked at Stone Motors after graduating high school.
